At Tedd Engineering, we have been designing and building electronic control systems for heavy machinery for over 30 years. We have developed an unrivaled expertise and reputation in the industry, with our systems being found on machines from leading brands.

We understand that every project and every machine is different, so we offer a superior bespoke design service that can incorporate custom designed and ‘off–the–shelf’ parts to suit your individual needs. Design and development services are provided by our highly experienced and skilled in-house engineers. Our control systems, handsets, wiring looms, and modules are built in-house at our manufacturing facilities based in Derbyshire England and Toomebridge Northern Ireland.

Our History

A Humble Start

Frank Tedd starts designing and building engine looms for classic cars out of his garage.

A Change For The Better

Under new ownership, Tedd Engineering refocuses and starts making wiring looms for large scale machinery.

Getting Inspired

In a unit next to a bowling alley Inspire Designs is founded, desiging bespoke control panels and remote controls.

Next Tedd

As the volume of collaborative projects dramatically increases, Inspire and Tedd become one company, offering complete solutions to thier customers.

A New Home

Tedd Engineering moves from Ashbourne to our current home in Chesterfield. Expanding accross another two buildings in the coming years.

On The Cutting Edge

The first Tedd Telematics modules are installed. The system allows remote machine monitoring from wherever you are in the world.

Getting Bigger

To help us better support our key customers at thier factories in Northern Ireland. Our manufacturing and support facility in Toomebridge opens.

Tedd Engineering is aquired by crushing & screening industry leader Metso. We remain as a stand alone business unit within the MPP Group of companies.
