The Team Lead will be responsible for the end-to-end oversight of the manufacturing operations at the Toombridge site, covering production, quality assurance, Health & Safety and productivity.
General Accountabilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date production drawing, schematics and Bills of Material (BOMs)
- Champions a safe working environment by ensuring adherence to Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
- Coordinates targeted training sessions to address key skills and development needs.

- Ensures compliance with all company policies and adopts a positive approach towards training & development activities.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude towards their work and colleagues to help promote employee engagement, improve communication, understanding & mutual respect.
- Engages in problem solving & collaboration.
- Coordinate with management on maintenance activities and the procurement of necessary equipment.
- Collaborate with management to assess and determine the required resources, including workforce and raw materials.
- Record parts lists for stock adjustments, maintaining precise and up-to-date inventory data.
- Active involvement in stocktaking processes to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity.
- Ensure quality of product and materials from the designated area.
Background and Experience
- Demonstrates ability to lead and motivate team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Skilled in fostering respectful, inclusive and productive working relationships across all levels.
- Practical experience applying lean manufacturing principles in a production environment.
- Basic electrical/electronic understanding—training on CAN systems and control panels preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
- Comfortable working in small teams and independently.
- Effective communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to handle shifting priorities in a bespoke, high‑mix environment.
- Basic IT skills (e.g., MS Office for log and record keeping).
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety programmes, with the ability to implement and ensure compliance.
